multicultural week

This week I have participated actively in a range of learning experience around ‘Multicultural week’ WHAT: I was involved in a range of learning experiences for Multicultural week. We learnt about China, Russia, Israel and Pakistan. SO WHAT: I learnt how to use chopsticks by picking up jellybeans and marbles. I enjoyed learning about Russia. My favourite fact was that there is a building with no nails. I was most fascinated by using chopsticks because I liked trying to challenge myself to get the marbles. NOW WHAT A question I have is…. In china do they eat with chopsticks for everything?

We are learning to write persuasively. Three features of persuasive writing  I know are topic sentence, opinion and evidence.

We have learnt how to measure different objects. Three units of measurement I know about are cm , mm and km.

I learnt how to do survive  back stoke.  I found Butterfly the challenging. I am proud of my breast stroke.

The school idea I am presenting is a hall / stage.
I am presenting this by making a cardboard display.
I think the school should use this idea because a school needs a hall or stage for a big space.

BFG review

Title and author is BFG Quentin Blake.
My favourite part was the ending.
My favourite character was the BFG.
I would change the start.
I think Roald Dahl wrote this book because he believes in giants.

persuasive writing

We are learning to write persuasively. Some places I would find persuasive writing are stories, elections and speeches.

Visual art

last week I created a collage showing a ocean habitat.  The three animals I chose were dolphin, penguins and a crab.  The feature of my art I am most proud of this is that I made it look 3D.

Something I will do to achieve this is reading out loud.

Reading-our class novel

As a class we read the novel Best Mate by Michael Morpurgo.

The best thing about this book was when Best Mate found Patrick.

I am feeling excited to start reading the BFG.
